Leaning right in Hollywood must get lonely. The entertainment industry is so unapologetically liberal, conservative actors are reported to meet like-minded folk in secret, keeping a low profile in case their views lose them work. Still, James Woods, one of the most outspoken right-wing thespians, has stumbled upon an unusual coping mechanism: thirsting after the First Lady.
The Once Upon A Time In America star is Melania Trump’s most dedicated disciple. He tweets about how gorgeous and glamorous FLOTUS so often, it seems fair to ask whether he loves her more than Donald does.
Woods is particularly outraged that Melania has yet to be featured on the cover of an American magazine.‘Since no American magazine will have put her on a cover, we’ll just have to celebrate her ourselves. @FLOTUS,’ the 71-year-old wrote on November 26.
The actor says he was dropped by his agent in July of this year for his reactionary views. Thankfully for him, he’s found a different way to express himself:
Woods’s devotion dates back as far as 2016. Though initially he had backed Carly Fiorina and Ted Cruz in the Republican primaries, the Slavic charms of the Donald’s third wife were enough to woo him aboard the Trump train.
There’s no denying that Melania is a good-looking woman. But perhaps there’s a more effective way Woods could make his advances than hornily tweeting pictures of her on a weekly basis?
It’s unclear what either Melania or her husband make of Mr Woods’s passions. The President was happy to have his support back in August of last year, when he retweeted a post from the actor which read ‘I’ve never witnessed such hatred for a man who is willing to work for free to make his beloved country a better place. It is pathological.’
Like Trump, Woods is twice divorced. And it appears he knows exactly what he’s looking for from wife number three…
