For sure, Cockburn is a touch suspicious about the timing of the New York Times’s Bolton bombshell last night, despite the former national security adviser’s fervent denial that he’d coordinated with the paper. But perhaps more interesting is the president’s…

But perhaps more interesting is the president’s put-down that Bolton only claimed aid to Ukraine was predicated on investigations into the Bidens was ‘only to sell a book’.

As Cockburn has mentioned before, the president himself isn’t much of a book reader. That doesn’t keep him from his real literary passion though: publicizing them. Shouldn’t Bolton have known that the only respectable way to sell a book is to get Trump to tweet about it?
