Once again, President Trump has done the right thing. This afternoon, he announced that earlier today he had pardoned Lt. Gen. Michael Flynn, the man who was framed by the corrupt administration of Barack Obama and mercilessly hounded for four years by a rogue FBI and out-of-control deep state apparat. The case was so embarrassing that the Department of Justice eventually intervened and dropped the prosecution. That did nothing to quell the fury of the vindictive Judge Emmet Sullivan, who decided to soldier on as both prosecutor and judge in his effort to nail Gen. Flynn. All that comes to an end today. ‘It is my Great Honor,’ the Twitterer-in-Chief wrote this afternoon, ‘to announce that General Michael T. Flynn has been granted a Full Pardon. Congratulations to @GenFlynn and his wonderful family, I know you will now have a truly fantastic Thanksgiving!’
Given world enough and time, I believe, Flynn would have been fully exonerated. His lawyer Sidney Powell was well on the road to that devoutly to be wished consummation. But many things are happening now and, like a performance Tesla Model S, the acceleration switch has been moved from Sport to Ludicrous mode. The President has to focus now on wading through his voter fraud cases in an attempt to keep the election of 2020 from displacing the Russia Collusion Delusion as the biggest political scandal in the nation’s history. I hope he succeeds.
The vendetta against Flynn was partly an expression of Barack Obama’s personal enmity. Flynn was the subject, remember of a high level meeting in the Oval Office when Joe Biden, who claimed never to have known anything about the case, was the first to suggest deploying the probably-unconstitutional Logan Act as a weapon against Flynn.
As I noted in May, however, Flynn’s place in the bigger picture was as a pawn to destroy Donald Trump, who somehow had made it past the deep state watchman and into the Oval Office. Accordingly, Obama’s henchmen smeared Flynn and then framed him. They sent disgraced FBI tool Peter Strzok and another agent to have a friendly chat with him at the White House which they weaponized into a bogus ‘you lied to the FBI’ charge. They got him sacked from his position as national security adviser, bankrupted him through ‘the-process-is-the-

The pièce de résistance came with the revelation of an FBI agent’s handwritten notes about a meeting with James Comey and then-deputy-FBI-Director Andrew McCabe. ‘What is our goal?’ the agent asked, ‘Truth/Admission or to get him to lie, so we can prosecute him or get him fired?’ Or maybe they should just ‘get him to admit to breaking the Logan Act, give facts to DOJ + have them decide.’
Your FBI at work, ladies and gentlemen.
So now at last Gen. Flynn will be out from under the clammy clutches of the egregious Judge Sullivan and his conviction machine. As I say, a full exoneration would have been preferable, but a pardon is nothing to sneeze at and once again shows President Trump’s concern for people who have been unfairly treated.
