As the midterms quickly approach, both sides of the aisle are ramping up their grandstanding. And while the results of the November elections are still anyone’s guess, the results of another race are becoming clear: the left is losing the battle of theatrics. To make matters worse, the right is just starting to get the hang of it.

As the midterms quickly approach, both sides of the aisle are ramping up their grandstanding. And while the results of the November elections are still anyone’s guess, the results of another race are becoming clear: the left is losing the battle of theatrics. To make matters worse, the right is just starting to get the hang of it.

Recently, Florida governor Ron DeSantis decided to send two planes full of illegal aliens to the beautiful, beautiful-people-filled island of Martha’s Vineyard. Not to be outdone, Texas governor Greg Abbott sent two buses of illegal aliens to Vice President Kamala Harris’s residence in Washington, DC.

Shockingly the limousine liberals in these progressive enclaves were not as thrilled with their new arrivals as their past virtue signaling and “hate has no home here” lawn signs might have led you to believe.

Several blue checks including Elie Mystal accused the Republicans of engaging in human trafficking. Strangely none of these compassionate people took issue with the New York Post’s report in October 2021 that Biden was flying “planeloads of underage migrants” into suburban New York in an effort to “quietly resettle them across the region.”

Other insane takes? CNN’s John Berman thought that DeSantis’s decision to send illegals to Martha’s Vineyard “addresses some of the same themes” found in his guest Ken Burns’s new documentary, The US and The Holocaust. For something that the left is hell bent on dismissing as a “stunt,” it certainly is ruffling some feathers.

This is a big pivot for the Biden White House. Remember when Jen Psaki spent months refusing to describe the border situation as a “crisis”? How about just a few days ago when border czar Kamala Harris told Chuck Todd the border was “secure”?

Now, suddenly, there is no shortage of outrage over fifty migrants landing in Martha’s Vineyard.

It is nice to see that the White House is finally moving on from the denial phase of their immigration plan. The angrier the left becomes over this injustice, the more hypocritical and foolish they look. After all, how can liberals be upset about something that (according to them) is a good thing?

While Massachusetts senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey were melting down over the unfairness of being asked to deal with the consequences of the terrible policies they force on others, Joe Biden was in a tuxedo singing happy birthday to Representative Nanette Barragan at a gala in DC.

This is just the latest bizarre moment that leads me to believe that no one at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue has even a modicum of common sense.

Earlier this week, the Bureau of Labor Statistics reported that the CPI increased 0.1 percent for the month of August and 8.3 percent for the past year. Hours later, the president hosted a party to celebrate the Inflation Reduction Act.

I wish I was kidding.

To call this celebration tone-deaf would be an understatement. James Taylor serenaded House Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer on the South Lawn before Joe yelled at us about how he is doing a great job. It raises the question: did no one on Team Biden think this shindig was a bad idea? Surely, someone must have suggested scrapping the event after seeing the CPI report, right?

Ivy League degrees abound and yet no one had the wherewithal to pull the plug on the James Taylor jam sesh.

Even the appearance of competence would be refreshing at this point. Sometimes it feels like this administration is trying to embarrass themselves or like Ashton Kutcher is going to pop out of the bushes and tell us we’ve all been PUNK’d.

While no one expected Joe Biden to deliver a JFK-esque performance on stage earlier this month, surely someone in his camp could’ve killed the red sauna light that made him look like he was welcoming people into the first circle of hell. White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre is not knocking any softball questions out of the park, but she could have easily skipped bestowing bride and groom sashes to White House aides during her press conferences this week.

Optics are a huge part of politics and Republicans are finally taking a page out of the Democrats’ playbook. Meanwhile, President Joe Biden is setting the playbook on fire.
